Congratulations to Anthony Arteaga, Laura Luebbe, Lauren Lemke, Harper Shoemaker, Hannah Shoemaker, Zander Ferguson, Braydon Fujan, Gianna Gutierrez, and Tommy Arteaga for placing in the top four of their school grade category in the Lincoln Music Teachers Association Composition Contest!
They are now eligible to have their compositions’ world premiere performances at the Winners Recital on Sunday, 26 March 2023, 4:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 22nd & Washington Streets in Lincoln.
In the Early Elementary division , "Swinging" received Second place and "Exploration" received Third place.In the Late Elementary division ,"Old Ghost Boogie" received First place, "MyTwin" received Third place and "Day to Night and Again" received Honorable Mention.
In the Junior division , "Passacaglia" received First place, "For Mickle Middle School" received Second place, and "Atmos-fear" received First Honorable Mention.
In the Senior division , "Ripples on the Pond" received First Honorable Mention.
The Winners Recital is open to the public, and attendees will hear ALL of the winning compositions, including "A Life Well Lived (For Melody)" in the Teacher division. You know that composer. ☺

Congratulations to five students who participated in the Southwest Iowa Music Teachers Association District Auditions in Council Bluffs on Saturday, 21 January 2023
Maria Fix performed at Level E.
Braydon Fujan performed at Level D and earned First Place in Performance and Honor Roll (90% or higher) on the Theory Exam.
Ash Lau performed at Level C and earned Alternate Winner in Performance and Honor Roll (90% or higher) on the Theory Exam.
Henry Conroy performed at Level B and earned Honorable Mention in Performance and Honor Roll (90% or higher) on the Theory Exam.
Paul Stevens performed at Level A and earned Honorable Mention in Performance and Honor Roll (90% or higher) on the Theory Exam.
