Nancy L. Schoen (say “Shane”) has been an Independent Music Teacher since 1986. She teaches piano, theory, and composition to students of all ages and abilities.

Her home studio is located near 56th and Pioneers in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Music in Education as a piano major and voice minor. 

She accompanied her high school concert and swing choirs at Wahoo Public; a gospel-type swing choir (Sound & Spirit), countless instrumental and vocal soloists, and two years with the Scarlet and Cream Singers at UNL; Goodrich Junior High, Pound Junior High and Northeast High Schools in Lincoln and Norfolk Junior High. 

Currently she does freelance accompanying for other independent music teachers’ studios and instrumental directors in area schools. She also substitutes as a pianist in area churches for worship services.
