Well, who'd have guessed?! This article is about the Keybird, a new portable acoustic piano, weighing in at only 130 pounds. It only has 69 keys instead of 88, missing the lower 1 1/2 octaves. You can even take it apart and it will fit in the trunk of a car!

Sadly, Peter Schickele died earlier this month. He was best known for his "discovery" of P.D.Q. Bach, the 21st child of J.S. Bach's 20 children.
Schickele was born in Iowa to immigrant parents. While in school, he studied composition in Fargo, North Dakota, under Sigvald Thompson of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra, then earned a music degree from Swarthmore College and a master’s from the Juilliard School.
Schickele spent time in the 1960s and early 1970s composing music for such folk musicians as Joan Baez as well as scoring music for the science fiction cult classic “Silent Running.”
