Many students have been interested in learning to play from Lead Sheets, aka Fake Charts, aka Goof Books. All of those are tunes with only the melody notated on the staff, and chords symbols (such as Eb, C7, Dm) written above the staff.

For quite awhile, I've had Christmas tunes available in this format. But I have now begun adding other Public Domain tunes. Tunes that are in the public domain are not copyrighted, therefore I can legally make "arrangements" of these tunes without violating any copyright laws. If I wanted to, I could even SELL these, but I am making these Lead Sheets available for FREE to my students. ☺

Go to Online Resources, then the folder Lead Sheets. There are several sub-folders there: Christmas Lead Sheets, Lead Sheets con Chords, and Lead Sheets senza Chords. You can experiment with adding your own chords in the latter version. (And if you do not know the Italian terms "con" and "senza," this usage might help you learn them!)

You may notice I have included the key signature in the title of the PDF. My goal is to arrange tunes in eventually all 12 keys, to help students get familiar with more than just the keys of C major and A minor.  ;-)
